Simple Fall Decor
It is FINALLY starting to feel like fall here! Yay for cooler weather!! The last couple months have been so busy for us, so this year I kept my fall decor very simple. I store my seasonal decor in boxes in the garage. Sometimes I make or buy something new, but often I just get down the box and use what I have. For me, the key is to switch things up and put them in different places than I did the year before so I don’t get bored.
This year I only brought out a few things from my fall box and kept it really simple. Decorating for the holidays doesn’t have to be stressful or expensive. I just like to add little touches to make it feel festive and bring in the new season. For my mantle (which is actually just a shelf above my couch) I just printed off this cute fall printable and made this super easy banner with my Silhouette.
On the coffee table I left my milk glass with the succulent plant and added a wood piece from Michaels and a little pumpkin I got last year at JoAnn’s (I saw them there this year as well).
I stole my sister’s idea for the “Give Thanks” banner and I love it!! I think it’s my favorite fall decoration! I also hung up the fall wreath I made last year. The season isn’t complete in my house unless I have a wreath up 😉
The buffet is the other area of my house that I like to decorate for the season. Again, I kept it simple by changing out the wording on my chalkboard, printing out a free printable, putting some tiny pumpkins in a pumpkin jar my mother-in-law gave me and adding some fresh sunflowers.
On my dining room table I have a bowl of pinecones, and I added a vase of sunflowers.
The patchwork table runner you see in the background was hand sewn by my mother-in-laws sweet twin aunts!! Isn’t it darling and I love that it was made with love by a relative.
I also love this printable Alisa made for this time of year. I actually leave it up all year round because it is such a great reminder every day. If you would like a copy of the printable just email us at allingoodtwine at gmail dot com and we will gladly email you a copy.
