Stove-Top Baked Beans
I hope you had a restful weekend! Last week I mentioned I would be sharing my mom’s baked beans recipe that she made for my son’s birthday party. It is so yummy and she always gets a lot of compliments on it. It is also on My Recipe Magic where Alisa and I have some other great recipes you can check out! So here it is!
1 lg 28 oz can Bush’s beans
3/4 cup onions – chopped fine
4 to 6 slices of bacon – cut fine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
3/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
2 Tablespoons molasses
Brown the onions and bacon in large pot over medium heat. Don’t drain the fat, unless it is a large amount. Combine all ingredients. Cook until beans are warmed through. Enjoy!
Tried and True Tips:
- You probably would want to double or triple the recipe if you are making this for company.
- We like to buy Bush’s Baked Beans and sometimes when we double it we buy one can of the molasses kind.
- You can also put the beans in the oven at the end and cook at 400 for 30 min stirring often.
So easy right?! Let us know if you make them!
